Teach Young Drivers to Make Better Decisions Behind the Wheel
When it comes to distracted driving, young people are among the most likely to text and talk behind the wheel. One Simple Decision® is the world’s first simulation-based impaired & distracted driving program designed to prevent destructive driving behaviors among teens and young adults. The program consists of simulation drives, first-person consequence videos, interactive quizzes, and advice from experts.
Consequences That Matter
Students experience first-hand the dangers and consequences of distracted and impaired driving through interactions with real law officers, judges, ER personnel and doctors. One Simple Decision also tracks driving violations real time displaying them on the screen as they occur. Driving violations captured include speeding, swerving, running stop signs or signal lights, making wrong turns, driving in the bike or center lanes, incorporates alcohol, drugs, prescriptions and lack of sleep etc.
Results Backed Up By Data
One Simple Decision has a fully integrated survey platform allowing customers to collect data specific to their needs. The built-in database provides immediate and insightful data collection opportunities including student throughput, demographics and opinions. The survey findings allow customers to demonstrate accountability and secure funding. Additionally, customers can even customize the survey questions specific to their unique issues, such as seat belt use, frequency of texting while driving and state specific requirements.
In the Media
We are bringing the Nationwide Insurance Text Simulator to Lancaster High School and as many other schools as we can this spring in hopes that these new drivers will learn the dangers of using their mobile devices in a controlled situation rather than seeing them become another real-life tragedy.
Grant Getzoni, Insurance Agent – Nationwide
I think (the simulator) gives us an opportunity for a controlled environment. To make sure that people understand it CAN and WILL happen to you. It’s not a matter of it, it’s when.
Mike Kindhart, State Trooper – Illinois State Police
I can’t say enough about the customer support. This is the difference between Virtual Driver and many other companies.
Todd Emanuel, Mayo Clinic Emergency Services – Mayo Clinic
It’s a great interactive tool, it’s fun and it’s a great for the officers to talk to students about this. It’s amazing how quickly they go from having no problems, and when they pull out their cell phones they start crossing the center line and they may start speeding without even knowing it.
Nick Jarmusz, Community Outreach & Safety Representative, AAA
Enhancing the driver training program at these schools helps advance NJM’s 100-year commitment to safety. These simulators provide valuable experience with a variety of driving challenges, so these young people can develop safe driving habits that can last a lifetime.
Bernie Flynn, CEO – New Jersey Manufacturer’s
So many people request to use it [driving simulator] for their events because it is getting the message across how unsafe it is to be too distracted while you’re driving.
